As we get ready to kick off a series of major climate actions throughout the spring and summer, come join Planet Over Profit for a funky & festive night with live music, pop-up vendors, and a whole bunch of lovely, super fun climate activists. There will be drinks, tarot readings, tattoo artistry, empanadas, and much more!
Featuring live performances and a bunch of local activist groups!
Tickets are $10-15 Advance and $15-20 at the door, and we appreciate any extra donations to help cover the costs of the event, support our amazing performers, and contribute to kick-ass climate activism. <3

Insure Our Future NYC March

Insurance companies have an opportunity to help secure a safe, livable future for us and future generations. It’s time for these companies to decide, are they going to insure our future or continue to help burn it to the ground?
They've demonstrated that they can accelerate the shift away from fossil fuels through their coal exit policies. Yet they’re dragging their feet on exiting from oil and gas projects. One of the oil and gas industry’s biggest secrets is that everything from extracting, transporting, refining, and exporting requires insurance. Without insurance fossil fuel companies can't operate. This means that insurers have the power to rein in the out of control expansion that threatens our communities and is worsening the climate crisis.
To make matters worse, many of the same insurance companies underwriting oil and gas projects are raising rates and outright refusing to ensure homes that sit in the path of the resulting climate destruction. That ain't right!

POP Halloweekend Party
To kick off Halloween, we'll be having a fun and spooky evening with food, drinks, games, and costumes! This event will be a relaxed social gathering for those who are looking for something more low-key this spooky season or a good pre-game event before a wild night out. For our fellow party orcas, a group will be going out to the bars afterward, and anyone is welcome to join us for that!
Now that Halloween is approaching, you probably fall into one of two camps: you planned your entire costume months ago, or you will be scouring your closet at the last minute for a make-shift "costume". Either way, dressing up is HIGHLY encouraged and there will *obviously* be a competition (orca costumes disqualified) so get creative and have fun!!
So grab your friends, put on your favorite costume, and get ready to have a wickedly good time!
September Action Training
Join Planet Over Profit as we prepare for September’s climate mobilization in NYC! We’ll be discussing what it’s like to participate in direct action, what different roles are involved, what actions we have coming up and (most importantly) how YOU can be a part of them! After the training, we’ll be be having social time with food, art, and a bit of relaxation as we rest up for all the great things we have planned.

Climate Movement Summer Celebration
Join Planet Over Profit, Climate Cafe and your fellow climate activists for a bash to end the summer, and a pregame for our September activities! We’ll have activities such as tarot and a clothing swap, as well as live music, poetry and comedy from some of our fellow activists! The event will also feature a teach-in about the March to End Fossil Fuels, the nationwide mobilization that will be taking place in New York City in September.
Picnic in Prospect Park
Join us for a summer picnic in Prospect Park! Although the rich will unfortunately not be on the menu, we’re still looking forward to making connections and strengthening our activist community. Feel free to bring whatever you’d like, whether it be a food to share, a blanket to sit on, or a game to play!

Zine-Making Party
Join Planet Over Profit in NYC for a community night focused on zines! Zines are small, self’-”published” magazines which are used to spread information, and we’re looking to make some about our group and the climate crisis! Feel free to bring any materials you’d like to use, we’ll also be providing plenty.
We’ll also be having a potluck-style dinner at this event, so bring anything you’d like to share with the group! We’re so excited to get creative with everyone!
